Course Description
Are you ready to play jazz music? Jazz Improvisation Introduction 1 will help guitarists to begin developing improvisation skills for jazz. In this first course, you will begin working with arpeggios as the building blocks for jazz solos. You will also learn to begin soloing over the II-V-I chord progression commonly used in jazz. Finally, you will work with exercises in the style of players who helped to define be-bop, such as Charlie Parker. This course is recommended for intermediate level players interested in learning jazz phrasing, as well as how to improvise over chord changes.
