This course is designed for players who desire to increase their ability to solo over various chord changes prevalent in Rock and Jazz, incorporate new sounds into their soloing, and broaden their knowledge of modes, arpeggios, and altered scales. Topics include: concepts for applying harmonic principles to soloing, analyzing key centers, substitutions, the use of chord tones, melodic minor based ideas, and chromaticisms. Recommended for intermediate to advanced level players.
