Carl Culpepper is a guitarist based in the Atlanta area. He has
performed and studied many styles of music, and they're all represented
in his multi-faceted approach to Rock.
Carl currently fronts his own Atlanta-based high-energy blues-rock
project, "The Carl Culpepper Band".
Carl has been featured on several CDs, including Radiant by Randy
Hoexter and Demonstratus by Thom Hartwick. He can be heard on the
sports theme for the Sunshine Network. Carl's debut solo CD will be
available early 2004.
In addition to a prolific performing career, Carl has taught hundreds of
students in Atlanta and Los Angeles, and he has been an instructor at the
Atlanta Institute of Music since 1992.
As an author of educational materials, Carl has penned a number of
books, including "Terrifying Technique for Guitar" (Hal Leonard). During
the late 80's and early 90's, Carl transcribed a large number of guitar
transcription folios for Hal Leonard, Warner Bros., and Cherry Lane. He
has also worked as a contributing editor for Guitar World Magazine.
