Guitarist Shane Theriot divides his time between New Orleans and Nashville and New York, where he stays busy in the recording scenes of these towns as a sought after sideman, session guitarist and solo artist. A member of the Neville Brothers band for 8 years, Shane is currently working with Grammy legend LeAnn Rimes and has also performed/and or recorded with Jewel, Willie Nelson, Aaron Neville, Little Feat, Victor Wooten, Leni Stern, Jo-El Sonnier, Idris Mohammed, Blue Floyd, Lee Greenwood, and X2 with (Gov't Mule drummer Matt Abs), as well as many others, and appeared on David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O Brien and numerous other television gigs. He can also be found touring with his own band "Grease Factor".
His two solo records "Hwy 90" and "The Grease Factor" have recieved worldwide popularity for the original fusing of traditional New Orleans funk with modern rock/jazz.
A GIT graduate with top honors in all styles, Shane was recommended by guitarist Scott Henderson for a teaching position at GIT and the Atlanta Institute of Music.
Shane is also a Guitar Player magazine columnist, performs clinics for Hamer/Ovation guitars and has written an instructional book entitled "New Orleans Funk Guitar" for Warner Bros. Publications.
