Cliff Engel is the founder and editor of The International Institute of Bassists.
He is an electric bassist from Hays, Kansas and specializes in solo electric bass
and jazz. Cliff studied Music Performance under the guidance of Anthony Vitti
at the Berklee College of Music during the summer of 1993. He is also a former
long-time jazz improvisation student of Charlie Banacos. Over the past fifteen
years, Cliff has played in a number of ensembles in all styles of music. Cliff
teaches locally and instructs bassists located around the world through his bass
lessons by correspondence. He is endorsed by Zon Guitars and SWR Sound Corporation.
